How to use it
- Choose a PDF.
- Select Convert to DOCX.
- Open the downloaded file in Word, Google Docs or LibreOffice and check the result.
Limits and known limitations
- This is text extraction, not layout conversion: images, tables, columns, fonts and exact positioning are not reproduced.
- Scanned PDFs contain pictures of text rather than text, so they produce an empty document. Optical character recognition (OCR) is not offered.
- Reading order follows the page from top to bottom; multi-column layouts may interleave columns.
Frequently asked questions
Why is my Word file empty?
The PDF is probably a scan, which stores images of pages rather than text. Text can only be extracted from PDFs that contain real text.
Will tables be preserved?
No. Table cells come through as lines of text. For tables, a dedicated layout-conversion product will do better.
