Privacy Policy
Last updated
This policy explains what information Kitmeadow (operated by Kit Meadow) collects when you use this website, why, and the choices you have. The short version: the files you process are not uploaded to us, and we collect as little as we can.
1. Files and content you process
The PDF tools, file converter, document editor and image tools run entirely in your web browser. When you choose a file, it is read into your browser’s memory and processed by code on your device. Your files, their contents, file names and any passwords you enter are not transmitted to our servers or to analytics or advertising providers. They are discarded when you select Start over, navigate away or close the tab.
The salary calculator also runs in your browser. Salary, deduction and other values you enter are not sent to us.
2. Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting provider ([hosting provider, e.g. Vercel Inc.]) processes technical request data — IP address, browser user agent, requested URL, referrer and time — to deliver pages, prevent abuse and keep the service secure. These logs do not contain your files. Retention is governed by the provider’s policy: [link and retention period].
3. Storage on your device
We store a few strictly necessary preferences in your browser’s local storage (not cookies):
tg-theme— your light/dark theme choice.tg-cursor-effect— whether the decorative cursor glow is on.tg-consent-v1— your privacy choices, when optional services are enabled.
4. Analytics
Analytics are currently not enabled on this site. If we enable them, we will update this section, ask for your consent where required, and limit events to the tool name, operation, a file-count range and an error category — never file names, contents, salary figures or text you type.
5. Advertising
Advertising is currently not enabled. If we add Google AdSense, Google and its partners may use cookies to serve and measure ads. We will update this policy and our cookies and advertising page, and offer the consent controls required for your region, before ads are shown.
6. Contacting us
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message. We use it only to reply and keep it no longer than needed to resolve your request.
7. Sale and sharing of personal information
We do not sell personal information for money. If advertising is enabled, allowing advertising cookies may be considered “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising under some US state laws. You can opt out at any time through Privacy choices in the footer, and we treat a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as an opt-out.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live — including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas and other states with consumer privacy laws — you may have the right to know what personal information we hold, to access or delete it, to correct it, and to opt out of targeted advertising. Because we do not receive your files and keep very little personal data, most requests can be answered quickly. Email support@kitmeadow.com; we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
9. Children
This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
10. Security
We serve the site over HTTPS with security headers including a restrictive Content Security Policy. Local processing reduces what could be exposed, but no system is perfectly secure. See Privacy & security for details and known limitations.
11. Changes
We will update the date at the top of this page when this policy changes, and highlight material changes on the site.
