Limits and known limitations

  • Up to 40 images, 50 MB each.
  • JPEG and PNG images are embedded without re-encoding. WebP images, and JPEG photos whose camera orientation needs correcting, are converted to high-quality JPEG first.
  • Images are placed on a white background and scaled to fit the page without stretching.

Frequently asked questions

Will my photos lose quality?

Standard JPEG and PNG images are placed in the PDF as they are. Only WebP images and rotated phone photos are re-encoded, at quality 92.

Why do phone photos sometimes appear sideways in PDFs?

Phones often store photos sideways with an orientation tag. PDF viewers ignore that tag, so this tool reads it and rotates the image correctly before adding it.
