How to use it
- Add images.
- Choose the output format and, for JPEG, the background color used for transparent areas.
- Convert and download.
Limits and known limitations
- AVIF output is offered only if your browser can encode it; most browsers cannot yet, so AVIF is usually input-only.
- Animated GIFs and WebPs are converted using their first frame.
- SVG files are sanitized (scripts, external images and links removed) and rendered at their declared size, up to 8,192 pixels.
- JPEG has no transparency, so transparent areas are filled with the background color you choose (white by default).
Frequently asked questions
Is it safe to convert SVG files?
SVG can contain scripts. We remove scripts, event handlers, external references and embedded HTML before rendering, and render through an image element, which never runs scripts.
Why is my PNG larger after converting from JPEG?
PNG is lossless, so it stores every pixel exactly, which takes more space than JPEG for photos. Use PNG for graphics and screenshots, JPEG or WebP for photos.
